Mets Lose Home Opener to Rival Phillies

The Mets can't buy a win. Especially with that bullpen, that gave up all the runs that put ahead the Phils 5-2.

The only form of offense came from Carlos Delgado as he belted one into the Mets bullpen to put his team up 2-0. I was screaming at the top of my lungs. I thought it would be smooth sailiing from here... Wrong....

If it wasn't for those meddeling Phillies, who scored three in the seventh and two in the eighth, the season would look a lot more brighter right now.

Speaking of bright, Oliver Perez pitched his heart out. He did ran into some trouble in the first couple of innings and was forced out of the game in the sixth when he was throwing a bit erradically. He recorded 2 K's and gave up three hits. Careful "Oli," your potential is showing.

The Bullpen on the other hand, is looking like a nightmare...and that is putting it in lighter terms. Between Schocenweis, Mota and Heliman, they gave up the five runs to ruin a beautiful day.

Truly, this is a celebration gone sour.
