Perfect start to the series...a washout. Well, this gives Johan Santana the opportunity to get 5 days of rest before taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Nothing better than a rested ace.
He and the Mets are going to face Ian Snell. Snell is a righty that has a 2-1 record with a 4.45 era. This is not a good match-up even though he has a high ERA. Snell had only given up a run and struck out 10.
There is a good sign as he only lasts about six innings before calling it a day. So if the Mets can force him out of the game early with a high pitch count, they should be ok.
Look out for Delgado, he hit 2 homers on Sunday, he could be on to something.
