And Now Time for the Maine Attraction…

Indians 1 9 2

METS 3 8 0

If there were awards for preseason success, John Maine would be the top candidate to receive it. They beat the Indians 3-1. This is the fourth win of the week for the Mets. Maine pitched into the sixth inning, giving up only one run and fanning seven in the process. He has been developing a new changeup that has seemed to have hypnotized hitters.

As for the bullpen, they helped out by each recording a strike out in their appearance (Smith, Heilman, Schoeneweis, Wagner).

At the plate, The backup to the backup catcher Raul Casanova had two hits with a run driven in. The 35 year old was filling in for Brian Schneider and Ramon Castro who are dealing with injuries. Fernando Martinez is making sure Met fans are paying attention. He also drove one in.
