Pelfrey neary Perfect in Spring Outing

Mike Pelfrey is making a statement. The youngster pitched two innings on Wednesday against detroit and gave up only a hit. The kid is trying to fight for that last spot in the rotation. With his competitor out with health problems and is up there in old age, this is definitely the perfect time to take advantage.

Although he pitched wonderful, this is still spring trainning and the team lost 4-2. The two runs were driven in by Ramon Castro (aka bucket head lol j/k) and youngster Anderson Machado. The tigers answered with four runs in the seventh off Wille Collazo. This does not help his chances to make the club at all. Again, its spring training but you got to be able to bring your best stuff if you want to make the club.
